Rumors are actually suggesting that the makers of Mogul try to deliver Ranbir Kapoor on board to play the role of Gulshan Kumar on screen following the success of Sanju, a biopic on Sanjay Dutt directed by Rajkumar Hirani. However, Akshay Kumar feels that there might be no actor who may play Gulshan Kumar in his biopic than him.

When Akshay Kumar was requested in regards to the actor who may step into the sneakers of Gulshan Kumar in Mogul after his exit, he immediately replied,  Nobody better than me for this role.
